After a successful partnership and endorsement of chess master and social impact activist Tunde Onakoya, Nord Motors has taken it a step further by gifting him the Nord A9 SUV which was released in the last quarter of last year. In August 2024, Tunde was unveiled as the indigenous automaker’s brand ambassador after successfully breaking the Guinness World Record by playing chess for 58 hours.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the company CEO and founder, Ajayi Oluwatobi hailed Tunde as a ‘master of strategy, problem solving, and sportsmanship’. Tunde in recent times has also been associated with telecommunication giant MTN’s Go Make A Difference (MAD) campaign, which is aimed towards encouraging individuals to add more value to their communities and environment.

It cannot be gainsaid that Tunde has secured his place as an international brand. Having broken records, taken kids out of poverty and illiteracy while showcasing his skills on a global stage. For Nord to consider an endorsement extension and renewal is a testament to his fame and the return to this partnership is expected to impact Nord’s bottom line with time.
